Property taxes and the way they are levied are really hurting the lower and middle class and especially the retired and disabled. It also makes no sense whatsoever to spend 30 years paying the mortgage every month only to find out that the house you paid for will never, ever be yours; in fact Uncle Sam owns your property, is also your landlord, and will not hesitate to throw you ruthlessly into the street unless you pay rent (property taxes) to him. To make matters worse, when it comes to the house that you are borrowing/renting from the government, Uncle Sam has absolutely no heart for lower class, retired, or disabled people and will show absolutely no mercy whatsoever. A few religious people out there will say that America is rather sinful; from my point of view, America's main and absolute biggest and most attention urgent and serious sin of all is property taxes. The only ways to deal with the property tax are; 1, limit/restrict property taxes to current mortgage payers only, meaning that you would only pay property taxes during the time you are paying the mortgage and once the mortgage is paid off and the house is paid for, the property taxes automatically cease for you, or 2, eliminate the property tax alltogether. The budget "hole" left by the departed property tax can be filled through federal government funding and grants.
